My intentions for remaking American History X as authentically as possible seemed a difficult task finding an Edward Norton lookalike therefor my chose of model was limited.

 

This scene is taken just as he gets arrested, following the police instruction “put your hands up!” showing that he is unarmed.

I tried to recreate the dead of night with the car headlight and the policemen with torches in the background.

Tried to achieve the original facial expression of malice, but feel my model didn’t capture this fully in the final pictures 

 

The final shoot took place out on the street at night around 10pm, to get an authentic look in the dark with the streetlights and car headlights.

 

 

The model I acquired didn’t have the correct hair cut therefor I had to use tights to get the affect of baldness, adding tattoos on set and in postproduction.

The blacked out police characters in the background give the feeling of being arrested.

 

Using the car headlights and torches seen in the picture held by the police for lighting and props.

Ill be shooting on my Nikon D90 using an ISO setting of 200

Shot in manuel mode with a low shutterspeed

 

I hired 2 lights for constant lighting for the shoot, using the street lights and car headlights for higlights

 

The final shoot too aproxamtly an hour out in the street, i took over 50 photographs
