TRANSCARPATHIAN HOUSE
Location: Veliatyno village, Transcarpathia (Ukraine)
Area: 206 sq m
Year: 2022-2023
Project of furnishing and equipping a ready-made private house in a small cozy village in Transcarpathia.
It's a place where you can slow down, feel calm, unite with nature, and immerse yourself in the refined Carpathian authenticity. The concept of the house was inspired by the rich Carpathian nature, traditions and materials. The interior is characterized by restrained colors and rich natural textures. The filling of the space demonstrates the interpretation of local traditions, where furniture, textiles and decor are combined into a single emotional and minimalist image of modern Ukrainian design.
Upholstered furniture in warm colors by the Ukrainian brand Interia, sheep's wool textiles by Gushka, minimalist lamps by +kouple, as well as content from dozens of small authentic local workshops intertwine to create a sense of real comfort.
We tried to showcase the Carpathian location as much as possible and create a modern space. The restrained palette and natural materials immerse you in nature as much as possible, when everything superfluous remains outside the home. In addition, we used items from local manufacturers to reveal the deep essence of Ukrainian design in the interior.

FLOOR 0

The large combined space of the living room, dining area, and kitchen is the heart of the entire house. We tried to keep the feeling of air in it and keep it as simple, light and empty, as possible. The island sofa allows you to enjoy the landscape view from the window, communicate with friends or watch your favorite movies with the whole family.
Despite the continuous flowing space of the first floor of the house, we have the opportunity to separate the kitchen-living room space from other rooms with wooden sliding doors.

FLOOR 1

One of the design features is the wooden attic second floor. The restrained color scheme and laconic design do not distract from the overall shape of the premises, which resembles the sharp ends of mountains.
In the master bedroom, part of the structures and built-in storage systems are hidden behind a sliding rail facade, and a larger space remains completely free for a large bed opposite a panoramic window with mountain views.
The guest room looks like a cozy, laconic lounge with a group of upholstered furniture in the center of the room, although it hides two additional beds behind a slatted sliding facade.

The bathroom looks as simple as possible. Warm shades of ceramic tiles and woven rattan decorative elements add coziness.
