Married in Meade County Magazine 2022 - Inside Front Cover
This was part of the last magazine that I designed while employed at The Messenger. It was a small magazine just highlighting resources in the Meade County, KY area for those people wanting to get married. There was also an event that showcased local wedding vendors that coincided with the release of this magazine.
The advertiser supplied us with the copy that she needed and her shop was by appointment only so we only used her phone number and web address. She also wanted to indicate that she was a "Lanza Global Educator". After that, I went to work finding wedding images from Adobe Stock. I primarily wanted to show women with stylish hair and makeup since this stylist did both for weddings and other events.
I framed each image almost like a polaroid, using the same warmer colors that I had on the rest of the ad. I put a small drop shadow on each of these secondary images. I wanted something that looked welcoming. I framed the background image with a translucent border that bled into the bottom of the page that held the logo.
I just realized that this image still has the bleed on it which would explain the larger blank space at the bottom.
This was my first hair stylist ad (even after all these years of graphic design!) and I really like how it turned out.
