Custom 3D Printed Chocolate

I've recently been experimenting with an intriguing surface design challenge.
These are 2.5" x 2.5" chocolate bars produced with a 3D printing process that results in a simple raised relief item. I am pushing at the limitations of the process to create delicate lines and intricate patterns.
The production company, piq Chocolates, also offers 7" x 3" bars, and is experimenting with fully three-dimensional techniques as well. Their website is in the process of being revamped, so much of what is shown here is the result of direct communications with the piq team.

Below is the final artwork for my first design, completed after corresponding with piq about minimum line widths, outer border widths, and tolerance for sharp corners.
The chocolate is high quality, and delicious.
Below is the initial rough concept sketch for my second chocolate bar.

Learn more about these projects on the blog (more photos, too).
