Combining opposites i.e. the natural vs the synthetic.
I plan this amalgation of opposites in two ways:
Firstly, the juxtaposition of synthetic and natural materials and its texture
Secondly, the juxtaposition of synthetic colours used with organic forms and shapes

In the textile designs, I also introduced the contrast of oppositions.

The use of natural, organic forms ie. the flowers and crystals,
rendered in unnatural colours and placed in rigid, man-made
grid-like placement.

Here, I juxtaposed the organic forms with the rigid, grid like pattern,
I also contrasted the different textures between natural fibre and
synthetic PVC fabric

For the menswear collection, I retained the use of the fabric pattern
and synthetic, unnaturalistic colours used in the womenswear collection.
In terms of detailing, I focused on Frankenstein as my inspiration and
how he is assembled by stitching up fragmented body parts.

Thank you!
