LOUP COUNTY WEBSITE
PROJECT BRIEF
Loup County, Nebraska currently has a website that is difficult to navigate and unattractive. The site is linked to other sites or provides outdated and unhelpful information. I've been tasked with redesigning the website to improve its navigation and make it aesthetically pleasing. I will essentially be starting over with the website. I have some freedom to elaborate on content since most of the real information is not available. I will be designing for both desktop and mobile screens.
Requirements for the website
- The Loup County home page.
- A voter information page that helps users learn where their voting precinct is located.
- A driver's test page showing the hours and place to take the written driver's test, and any materials that might be needed to do so.
- A photo history page showing a photo history of the county, in the form of a visual gallery
- A building permit page where county residents can apply for a building permit, see a county zoning map and download information and permits.

Information architecture (IA) focuses on organizing, structuring, and labeling content in an effective and sustainable way. The goal is to help users find information and complete tasks. To do this, you need to understand how the pieces fit together to create the larger picture, how items relate to each other within the system.

Usability Testing
For this testing my sister Valeria, and my mom Milooa were willing to help me. They navigated through the entire website. They were able to easily find the places they wanted to go and make suggestions for color and design that I was able to apply. They said less yellow, and more images would look better.

Conclusion
After an extended research and digital sketching using Adobe XD. With the help of my instructor, I can conclude that the Loup County, Nebraska website has improved significantly in terms of design and structure. After doing a user test comparing the two websites, the users have agreed that the project was successfully completed, and the objective was met.
