A Biblioteca Comunitária Flora Banks é uma iniciativa sem fins lucrativos que visa democratizar o acesso à leitura e conhecimento para todos. Através do empréstimo de livros nas estações de metrô em Salvador, a biblioteca oferece um acervo de mais de 200 livros diversificados e atualizados, com obras de diferentes gêneros e para todas as idades. Contribuindo para o desenvolvimento cultural e educacional da comunidade, o objetivo é tornar a biblioteca um espaço acolhedor e inclusivo para todos, onde é possível encontrar informação, conhecimento e o prazer da leitura, tudo isso de maneira acessível, sendo possível pegar um livro na estação de metrô mais próxima da sua casa.

About
The Community Library Flora Banks is a non-profit initiative that aims to democratize access to reading and knowledge for all. Through the loan of books in the subway stations, the library offers a collection of more than 200 diversified and updated books, with works of different genres and for all ages. Contributing to the cultural and educational development of the community, the goal is to make the library a welcoming and inclusive space for all, where it is possible to find information, knowledge and the pleasure of reading, all in an accessible way, it is possible to pick up a book at the nearest subway station to your home.

Projeto
Para estabelecer a identidade e o posicionamento da Biblioteca, buscou-se definir uma personalidade e tom de voz amigável, criativa, jovem e solidária. A missão de democratizar o conhecimento e promover a cultura e educação é traduzida na intenção de atingir o público de forma inovadora e atual.
O ícone teve dois conceitos principais: Um livro com suas páginas abertas e uma flor, representando a biblioteca e o significado do nome "Flora", respectivamente. A paleta de cores com variações de vermelho, laranja, azul, rosa e verde buscam indicar pluralidade, diversidade e demonstrar isso de uma forma leve e divertida. As fontes buscam auxiliar o tom de voz alegre e amigável, juntando formas orgânicas e não simétricas além de uma fonte mais legível, porém não agressiva para servir como apoio.

Project
To establish the identity and positioning of the Library, we sought to define a personality and tone of voice friendly, creative, young and supportive. The mission of democratizing knowledge and promoting culture and education is translated into the intention to reach the public in an innovative and current way.
The icon had two main concepts: A book with its open pages and a flower, representing the library and the meaning of the name "Flora", respectively. The color palette with variations of red, orange, blue, pink and green seek to indicate plurality, diversity and demonstrate this in a light and fun way. The sources seek to assist the cheerful and friendly tone of voice, joining organic and non-symmetrical forms and a more readable source, but not aggressive to serve as support.
