Teach for Ukraine is an NGO that works to ensure that every child in Ukraine can realise their potential, regardless of their place of birth or residence.
Educational inequity in Ukraine is one of the deepest in Europe. 2,5 years is the gap between the academic achievements of students from urban and rural areas. Where children are born often determines the quality of their education, ultimately their future opportunities. This educational gap was dramatically exacerbated by the war: destroyed schools, teacher shortages, no in-person learning, mental health affects.
What are the consequences? The entire generation of Ukrainian children may miss the opportunity to develop essential skills. Teach for Ukraine won't let this happen.

Teach for Ukraine x ochi.design:
Teach for Ukraine reached out to us to help them craft a presentation that will help to attract funds for their programs from international donors. We defined a strategy, developed structure and messaging as well as designed presentation in a modern, but emotional style to reflect their personality. This presentation helps Teach for Ukraine with talking to donors and attract funds for their new program of recruiting new outstanding Ukrainian graduates who commit to teaching in low-income communities. Teachers provide an education and the social-emotional support for kids during this most challenging time.
Started with the research:
We have studied every corner of their work and read every piece of text we had an access to. We also defined objections they may face to raise funds.
Structure development:
We’ve built a narrative that laid into the foundation of the deck: structure.
We created two versions of the presentation: shorter (for the sendouts) and longer
(for the personal meeting).

Design:
Once we agreed on messaging, flow, copy, and punchlines, we proceed to design. The style has to feel modern, startup-like, yet established and humane. We come up with the concept of a personalized letter written by the kid combining with real life pictures of the people who make the difference.
