I started this study because I wanted to explore some hard surface modeling and challenged myself to model a classic Vans sneaker. After the modeling, I played around with dynamics in soft body, and finished off by experimenting with shaders and lighting to create a cool lookdev. I opted for colors reminiscent of sweets, watermelon, and summer because of the wordplay "Vans Off The Watermelon," which I came up with to play on the brand's official slogan "Vans Off The Wall."
