This is the second project for my typography class at BYU-Idaho. This was a lot of fun researching and creating business cards. Here are the mockups for my business card design for front and back. The colors and the lines give it a slight midcentury modern feel, while the large font logo keeps it classic.

The creative process included creating several different options of cards in black and white, then making variations of those cards, figuring out the spacing, negative space, fonts, and all things that go into beautiful design. Then we narrowed it down and did color variations on two of the design options. Here are some of the variations I explored during my creative process with the other design I was trying out.
In the end, this is the design I went with. I thought the colors were fun and playful, but pleasing to the eye. The font is readable, the negative space is lovely, and the visual hierarchy takes you easily from section to section.
