The painting is dedicated to Saint Spyridon of Trimifunt, whose image touches to the depths of the soul with its meekness and simplicity, purity of deeds and thoughts. This amazing man was born in the 3rd century in Cyprus. With a kind and bright soul, modest and just, during his lifetime he performed many good deeds and miracles. He was engaged in peasant labor, herding goats, sheep and cultivating the land. Those around him always knew that they could turn to him for help. They found shelter and food, comfort, healing and support from him.

In the painting, he is depicted as a sitting elder holding a lamb in his arms, as a sign that he was a shepherd. He has a kind and peaceful look. Simple clothes with the image of wildflowers, as an allegory of his simplicity, closeness to nature. Daisies are a symbol of pure and sincere love, it is this manifestation of love that Spiridon possesses, to this day bringing grace to the hearts of people from all over the world.
