(Working Progress Project) Tiger numbers in the wild are falling rapidly, we have lost 97% of tigers within the last century and todays numbers total around the 3500 mark. Not only this but out of the 9 sub species only 6 remain today. I find this worrying and want to create something which will both show the beauty of these animals and the importance of keeping them alive. My final book will represent each tiger and their life in the wild for children to see the seriousness of the issue whilst it also being something they can treasure and keep for future generations. These illustrations are examples of what will be in my final book. My book is called Save the Striped and contains illustrations of each tiger sub species. My book will be around 70 A3 pages and will have information accompanying the images about how many of each 9 tigers are left in the wild, their habitats and regions in Asia. It will be targeted at children aged between 7 and 10 as they will understand my language and the message behind it prehaps in a way that adults will not. I am currently still working on this project and improving it before I add both digital work and photographs of the final book once printed.
