When given the option to photograph any one object for a still-life photography assignment, I considered many possible avenues. I ended up landing on tampons as my subject. This pushed me to consider the context. I also played with lighting as I ventured to find a good location and light source. I experimented with backlighting and level of zoom. I became more confident in my choice of subject as I continued working; however, this was not without recognizing my own insecurities.

During in-class critiques, I recognized the importance of thinking about space and orientation as well as focus. I think this would be a concept I would like to pursue further.
