"Love is the power to see similarity in the dissimilar."
'Love' is a basic need across all mankind, the following illustration represents a variation of how the word can be written based on the Arabic alphabets using abstract hand brush style. Interestingly, 'love' when written in Arabic is unlike when written in English, which is using 4 letters, or that in French using 5 letters. There are only 2 letters in Arabic (H) and (B), and pronounced (Hob), the letter 'O' is a phonetic connection between the 'H' and the 'B' when pronounced.
The last 2 illustrations in this collection are based on the classic Arabic Thulthy script which is based on pre-determined rules and measurements, as set a thousand years ago.
This is a part of a personal project striving to develop 24 calligraphy posters (English, Arabic and French) promoting peace, love and harmony.
"What the world really needs is more love and less paper work."
