THE BLACK CAT

BRIEF: Showcase one of four Edgar Allen Poe stories (Eleanora, The Black Heart, The Tell Tale Heart or The Angel of the Odd) through the medium of typography, screenprint and book design.
I chose the Black Cat as my story to tell typographically. One key theme that I picked out from the story was the descent into madness and the protagonists fight to keep sanity and madness seperate. To illustrate this I chose two differing paper stocks, two differing fonts and patterns within the paper stock to showcase the different sides of the same person.
