In the decoration phase I had custom sofa's made in a chocolate velvet with a purple undertone, to set off the beautiful rug we chose. We made custom draped in an iridescent silk with green/ brown/ and purple shot colours running through it. The items we bought from the old house were supplemented with new upholstrey on the occasional chairs in the living room in a checked silk and the dining room in a cut velvet box pattern. The sitting room had a new custom couch, and working with the existing rug, art and chair and couch in the master bedroom, I made custom drapes and bedding and cushions from a beautiful sari I had found.
At the end of the process when I had spent the day putting all the accessories in the right place and sat down for a cup of tea with the client, it was wonderful to hear how much she was enjoying the excitement downtown living and her new pared down home. It for her was a whole new stage in her life.
