Doona - Boss Design and John Lewis collaboration
Taking its name from the Australian word for Duvet, Doona invites you to sink into its soft cushions and lounge the day away. Doona comprises of a firm upholstered outer with soft, sumptuous inner cushions that graciously collapse over its arms. A sophisticated black lacquered floating under frame supports its generous proportions and compliments its contemporary design. The range comprises of a Grand Sofa, Snuggler Armchair and a Footstool.
Designed and engineered whilst at Boss Design in 2011 in collaboration with the new product development team at John Lewis. The design Director briefed a super comfortable sofa you could fall into. The concept presented some difficult challenges to maintain the idea. The Boss R&D team totally understood why I chose this aesthetic and worked had to realize the concept.
