An island in the mist
I discovered the Madeira Archipelago in February 2022. Madeira is an incredible island with a huge variety of landscapes. I had prepared this trip with the idea of photographing the famous Fanal forest, which remains one of the last ancient forests of Laurisilva. This forest is well known for being regularly immersed in mist. With its twisted branches covered in lichen and moss, the atmosphere is both mysterious and magical. It's an unforgettable experience.
But to be content with the Fanal forest would be a big mistake, as the island is full of incredible places. I can't wait to continue my explorations on this fabulous island!
