Reflections upon Instructional Design

Instructional Objectives

Planning appropriate objectives for the classroom is an aspect that must cover different conditions for the learning process of the students. I used to plan my classes and their objectives only to fulfill the topic of the lesson, but I never considered my students’ needs and what would be most suitable for them to learn, having into consideration those needs.

After working on the topics proposed in my study classes, I now realize that designing effective instructional objectives, will help me in the development of suitable classroom strategies to provide my learners the best learning experience, which bears in mind their cognitive, affective and language needs.

On the other hand, implementing technology as a tool to accomplish students’ needs and class objectives will help both teachers and students to enrich teaching and learning practices. If we take into consideration that today’s students are more and more involved with technology, using it wisely when designing instructional based objectives, will empower them to adopt technology for their academic purposes.
