Kule / The Tower
"Kule" Yunan mitolojisinde yer alan "Hero ve Leander" isimli hikayeden esinlenerek yeniden yazılıp resmedilen bir hikaye kitabıdır. Orijinal hikayedeki uzak mesafe ilişkisi, trajediyle biten aşk teması yerine komedi unsurlarıyla birlikte "kız dayanışması" teması modern dilde işlenmiştir. Bu tema, hikayede geçen Kız Kulesinden doğmuştur.
"The Tower" is an illustrated storybook that has been adapted and illustrated, drawing inspiration from the Greek myth of "Hero and Leander" in Greek mythology. The adapted version diverges from the original narrative which focuses on a distant relationship and tragic love. The adaptation introduces elements of comedy and highlights the theme of "women supporting women". The concept is derived from the Maiden Tower mentioned within the story.
Hikayenin orijinalinde Afrodit'in rahibesi olan Hero ile komşu kasabadaki genç adam Leander birbirlerine aşık olurlar. Hero Kız Kulesinde yaşadığı için Leander'le aralarında uzun bir mesafe vardır. Buna rağmen Leander geceleri Hero'nun lambası rehberliğinde aralarındaki mesafeyi yüzerek geçer. Bir gece, Leander Hero'ya doğru yüzerken şiddetli bir fırtına kopar ve Hero'nun lambası söner. Önünü göremeyen ve fırtına dalgalarına karşı savaşamayan Leander o gece boğulur. Ertesi sabah Leander'in vücudu Kız Kulesine vurur ve Hero bu trajediyle karşı karşıya kalır.
In the original story, Hero, priestess of Aphrodite, and Leander, young man from neighbor town, fall in love. Since Hero lives in Maiden Tower, there is a long distance in between her and Leander. Despite the distance between them, Leander swims across the sea guided by Hero's lamp. One night, while Leander is swimming towards Hero, a strong storm breaks out and Hero's lamp goes out. Leander, who could not see ahead and fight the storm waves, drowns that night. The next morning, Leander's body hits the Maiden's Tower and Hero has to face with this tragedy.
