Harbourside and nostalgia
The Victoria Harbour has always meant something special to me. It was a place where some of the fondest memories were made with friends, a place that has consoled my tedious lows with its soft waves, a place that still reminds me of the beauty of the city as I stare into the endless skyline.

Coming back after two years, I once again boarded the Star Ferry from Central Pier to cross the harbour. It was nowhere on my route home, but reliving the freeing feeling the city gives me is something no money and time can buy. So for the first time in a long time, I walked to the rear side of the ferry as I boarded it, and I slowly let myself free from the handrails one by one. After having felt stuck in this city for some time with the uncertain future I could only see myself here, for once, the sea breezes through the gaps of my hair with a momentary feeling of long-lost freedom.

Strolling along the harbourside, I realised that it is still a place where stories are told and memories are made. A place where heartbreaks happen and yet also where hearts reunite. A place that shows us our wildest dreams under the glistening starlight.
