In a business where you are competing against many people who work for the same company as you, you can't rely solely on the brand of your corporation.  It is critical you put thought to why are you different, what is your value, and who are your target markets. The real estate market is a perfect example of an industry where this differentitian is critical.
Below is an example of a brand created for an individual who wanted to really stay very true to the corporations colours and branding, but also wanted to show her personal side to her target market. 
She works in a rural township, focused on community living.  The community lives around the water and farms and she wanted to create a real down to earth feel with her branding.
