Iyiofis designed and executed Pilates FNB Studio’s new concept in a 60`s apartment in Istanbul’s up and coming Akaretler district. A simple, open plan was preferred and supported with white on walls, doors and majority of the furniture to brighten up and achieve a lighter spatial feel. Instead of walls, metal framed wooden shelves were designed to separate studio spaces. Graphic elements were integrated with the interior design to punctuate and energize the studio. Old hardwood floors existing in the apartment were repaired and hand painted where it could not, revealing an undesigned pattern. The hand dyed flooring completes the graphic and color scheme. All signage and appliances were designed specially for people with physical and mental disabilities.
