Ruler Of Everything

In this project I used adobe animate to create a music video for the song "Ruler of Everything" by Tally Hall. This was my first attempt at using blank keyframes to hand animate practically everything, and was my first "big" project.
The project's style varied between whatever came to mind at the time, but i tried my best to try and base it off of chalk-board style drawings. The image above features Juno who is currently mad. I didn't really have enough creativity to come up with a character that wasn't a slightly different rendition of Kronk from The Emperors New Groove, so I settled with a stick figure.
for whatever reason this particular motion tween bugged out only in the mp4 and video viewer (accessible by the keyboard short cut: ctrl + Enter). I have no clue why.
I LOVE to poke fun at my animations by adding absurd amounts of complexity in odd areas; for example the clover you see above. Just the feeling of: "wait what in the world did I just see?" or "but why??" always brightens my day.
this is an image of a dog nicknamed "Doggo". He briefly appeared in the Roblox game: Streamlined, when Doggo INC took over the game and filled it with stupid additions during an April fools event. Here he appears when the lyrics say "give it up and smile". In the original picture of the dog, the owner is holding up his jowls but I removed the fingers to give it a more natural aesthetic.
The Kool-Aid man shows up only once in the video, and only for a short period of time. The idea was given to me by a friend who was also a fa of Tally Hall and had heard the song multiple times as well. He suggested i put it at the "OH YEAH" lyric and originally I disagreed, thinking it was too ambitious. Later that month when I came upon animating the lyric I changed my mind thinking that it would be funny if I did put the Kool-Aid man in the song.
Moving pictures wasn't the only thing i did in my animation, in some cases I put moving letters when I really didn't have any idea of what to animate as a picture or object when the lyric came around. Seeing as Jabber isn't really the most visual word, I just wrote jabber down and have it a stretch to make it interesting.
