I've always been a fan of Miyazaki and Howl's Moving Castle has been one of my favourite films by him. So I decided to do a little tribute to the inspiring man as he announces his retirement this year. I used Maya to model it and Arnold to render it. Arnold proxies were used extensively through the scene, especially for the grass, and it definitely made working with large amounts of polygons fast and efficient.
