Once again, Puma Football and LaFourmi reached out to us for to imagine and develop a promotional film for the release of Puma's Future Supercharge soccer boot. We created a 3D film by sublimating footwear technologies through a futuristic universe.
A holographic boot rises in a futuristic city. Its holographic structure is covered with a physical texture that extends over the mesh. On the underside of the PWRTAPE, the texture comes to life: thousands of micro-stems emerge from the material and gradually connects to the lateral part of the boot via the thousands of stems that come out from under the tape. The boot contracts and a wave of energy spreads across its surface.
Following the PWRTAPE sequence, in macro shot, an asperity in the material comes to life and lights up. Then dozens of grip cells illuminate the front of the boot.
Inside the translucent materials of the outsole, a light spreads from the back to the front, expanding in two different ways on the underside of the boot, suggesting fire and water. It allows us to show the difference of density between the used materials.
