This is a brand identity system for the Los Angeles Poverty Department, a grassroots theater company made up of residents of Skid Row, Los Angeles. LAPD Theater uses art and theater to replace old narratives that perpetuate stereotypes used to keep this neighborhood's morales down. This system consists of a logotype, stationery, newsletter, website and posters, all of which are inspired by the visual landscape of Skid Row, Los Angeles.
