VENEZIA MANIFESTO - VM21
The book VENEZIA MANIFESTO is the result of the first step of a project aimed at celebrating the Venetian way of life. A book that tells about our adventure among the sestieri of Venice: a photographic journey and a reflection on the human dimension of the city. We intend to praise the gestures, customs and everyday life of the Venetian, through a young and contemporary look.
My contributon to the project was the artistic direction of the whole flow.
From the definition of the general aim to content production and the social media strategy.
The project aim is to promote the singularity of the place, the relationship between environment and inhabitant. In fact, the city retains a unique and rare quality:
it’s totally pedestrian. And that is why it is a model of sustainable and contemporary urban space based on the rhythm of the step.
A human scale that can be re-evaluated and brought back into the spotlight mostly now, in this era of urban lifestyle transformation.
The rhythm of the step, the relationship with nature within an earth/water ecosystem, make it a reference also for the modern cities of the future. Venice not only needs to be preserved as it is, but it’s the evolution of her that allows the entire ecosystem to survive.
