STILL-LIFE: SPORT
PLAN: FITNESS
I was asked to do a photoshoot on an item, based on what sport I'm doing and to be  creative in using 3 different compositions and crops (close up, portrait and landscape).
My rough ideas
This is my rough plan for my sports still-life. My ideas were to test out different lightings and exposure, positioning the lightings in different set-ups and choosing/combining different coloured gels.

My backdrop is going to be black (maybe white) and use different gels (blue or red). by using different coloured gels, it would be interesting trying different lighting set-ups because I'm looking for a dramatic kind of outlook.
Research: Ian Knaggs
Ian Knaggs is an award winning still-life photographer (based in Leicester). He is best known for his product advertisement photography. His photographs is about combining colours and light within the studio to create still life images thousands of companies such as Monster, Nescafe, Aussie and much more.
LIGHTING DIAGRAM:
I have 2 rough plans for lighting and how I want to organise it.
FINAL TEST SHOTS:
Selection / Editing
Out of all of my test shots from that session, I have managed to colour code the selected photos to be edited and placed them in a separate folder. I then made some alterations with the highlight/shadows just to make the photos stand out and moved the photos to photoshop.
I after moving the light edited imaged to photoshop, I then use the Healing brush tool to cover and get rid of the wired manually (there is another healing tool that does the same thing but automatically but I thought it would be easier to do it manually because photoshop gets confused and grabs the wrong part of the photo to cover the wires with).
I repeated the process to 2 different compositional photographs and here are my final photos:
Environmental Portrait : Sport
REFERENCES: Environmental Portraits
I chose Christopher Doyle as a reference because His photographs shows people working in their environment indicating, through the use of location, costume and props. He asks models to pose in a way with an object within their jobs to make it more of an environmental portrait.
PLAN:
For my environmental ideas, I will be having my model pose in different poses in martial arts. I will be starting off by instructing him in doing some basic poses (like folding arms or in a meditating position) and the escalating the poses to be a bit more interesting and extreme (not too extreme).
The only thing that I am worried about is that as it is indoors, the lighting will make the image over exposed. The solution would be to turn off the studio lights but I don't know how underexposed the images would look.

Another solution would to increase the f-stop progression, which will make the image clearer and darker even with the surrounding light were on.

RISK ASSESSMENT:
Before having access to the risk assessment, you would need to send out a risk assessment request while will list down details of the shoot.

The first section of the risk assessment will be about who's participating the shoot, their roles, date/time of the event, locations of the event and any other information that's provided. For ex. Address and where abouts it is taking place.
The 2nd section of this risk assessment will show your knowledge of what to do if outcomes - hazards - are not in control, in control and what measures you would need to do in order to make the risk level low during the photoshoot.
For this photoshoot, I was required to have an assistant with me throughout my journey and the shoot but Unfortunately, everyone I asked as unavailable so I have no other choice but to do it myself. It was a very challenging experience.
FINAL TEST SHOOTS:
As I was prepping for the test shots, the lighting equipment I was using decided to not work so, I ended up using natural lighting (on the ceiling) which turned out well than I expected. The only downside of these shots are the exposure in some areas of the photos which were a bit underexposed but I think it gives an overall cinematic look.
I chose three as my final test shot pieces.
EDITED:
The main problem about my chosen photographs was that the white balance on each of them was too warm, So I changed the white balance to make the photos more cold and modified with the grain to make them a bit soft because it came out too much.
I was hoping for an edited photo to give a cinematic feel
