For the last few days I have been working on a digital collage with which I plan to participate in an exhibition in Portugal (I shall give more information on this in due time). Usually, for my collages, I like using photos I find on the web. Yet, on this occasion and because of the character of the exhibition (I am sorry for the secrecy but I would rather say more when the time will be right) I used photographs I took on various occasions. I plan to have the work printed next week and physically add a few more details. Here I shall present the project as it is now in its digital form, the original photographic material I used as well as three images from the preliminary stages that I found interesting enough to save. The title of the final one is "Cornucopia" and it belongs to the series of my works that explore self-portraits as a symbol. The main influences were archaic imagery of fertility goddesses, well-being and roman paintings.
