Although it's been a while since this sweet book has been out, it continues to hold a special place for me. Growing up in West Bengal we shared many aspects of our culture with our sister country of Bangladesh. These special panelled pages depict the journey of each aunt (and at the end her grandma) of Asiya's (our little protagonist at the start of the book). It is inspired by the folk art of Pattachitra (stories told through pictures on cloth tapestries). It is linear and depicts an event or moment in the aunt's history. These were the spreads I really loved exploring!
