Nanjing Dim Sum.
The birth of Nankinmachi dates from the opening of the Port of Kobe in the first year of Meiji (1867).
Since the Qing Dynasty at that time was a non-signatory to the treaty with Japan, foreigners were not allowed to live in the foreign settlement, and settled in the area adjacent to the west side of the port, where "Nankinmachi" is located today.
