Açores - the midpoint

Photography
Açores

In the middle of the ocean, almost a midpoint between Lisboa and New York. Flores and Corvo are two islands of the azores archipelago, the furthest west european emerged lands. Two backpacks, a tent to sleep in, and great photographic equipment, in order to grasp the real essence of the islands. 12 days into the wild, in a heaven on earth, more than 1100 miles away from the mainland.

We are two guys from Italy, communication designers, and passionate about photography and video.
This project is the result of two weeks spent in the Azores islands.
More than 210Gb and 19.000 single photographic shots to obtain less than 2 minutes of video.

Cameras: Canon Eos 7D, 600D
Lenses: 10-22mm f:3.5-4.5, 24-105mm f:4L, 35mm f:1.4L, 100mm f:2.8, 400mm f:5.6L

The best technique to represent the continous changing, the unstoppable movement of the natural elements. Even more than in other places, here, in the middle of the ocean, all is frozen in a timeless condition and, at the same time, everything passes incredibly fast.
Timelapses, more than photography or videos, can show the double condition of this unique microcosmos.
