Various Illustrations 2023.1

These are some illustrations I made in the first semester of 2023.
Most of them are personal projects, gifts or studies. Enjoy :)
One of my favorites! I brought together some bolders colors, texture and cyberpunk elements. This illustration is itself a discover of tools and styles that I want to work on and continue to explore.
This one was a birthday gift to a friend of mine, but it is also a love letter.
It was kind of painful actually, to put my deep emotions into art (I used to do that when I was a teenager but these days I struggle with it).
He is a big Mac Miller's fan, so I chose "Colors and Shapes" to illustrate. Part because of the dream videoclip, part because of the lyrics.
I listened to this song all day on repeat, watched the video a lot of times, cried a few.
Anyways, "Son, if you want to hold onto yourself, then let yourself slip".
Another colorful -but painful- illustration.
A reflection of my shadows on other people.
My cold -robotic- way to avoid feelings, my scary, rotten and afraid side.
The mirror (or glass?) is broken. Is it my broken self or the hope beneath it all?
These are some art studies on the brain. They are totally different: the first one is kind of psychedelic, electric. The representation of the brain in its full potential.
The second is a more romantic, sensual vibe, maybe the fusion between two people through a kiss? I don't know haha the interpretation is with you.
In both drawings I used slight variations of the primary colors, kind of like a test, since I don't usually use them in my works. The truth is that I really enjoy experimenting, it makes me evolve in my work.
