The Assignment: I was tasked with recreating a book cover for a book of my choice. The assignment required the use of at least 5 images, edited together within Photoshop to create a cohesive final cover before taking the files into InDesign to add text and other elements.

What I did: The book I chose is The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Night-Time by Mark Haddon. For my images I used; the night sky, trees, house, poodle, pitchfork, fence and boy, as individual elements edited together to form a cohesive final image centred around the main plot of the book. For the font I chose a semi-sleek, sans-serif typeface that added to the over all mystery feel of the book, and cover redesign. My choice to keep all font in uppercase was purely for the look and for the font to be more impactful.
