of graphic novels & sum up the historical facts in just one page...
La Huerta was a plantation bought by a rich family: the Henkels, established in Toluca City,
México on the nineteenth century.
In its heyday they managed to introduce certain technologies that helped the development of the capital city,
as it is known today.
Their businesses -in addition to the grain mill- included the hydroelectric and railway industries, they also formed a soccer team and organized the first league.
Hacienda de La Huerta, San Juan de las Huertas, México, 1871 to 1937.
All the drawings were based on the photographic archive that is preserved.
