Introducing Dynamico - a series of digital trickshots I've been playing around with in my spare time over the past few months.
This project is all about exploring the dynamic system within Cinema4D and having some old-school fun with it. The goal is simple: land the basketball in the hoop. But the process is anything but - only dynamic objects can be used, no keyframes, no baking, no gimmicks. Doing it the old fashioned way, grinding through countless misses for that oh-so-satisfying perfect shot.
In total, there are 3 courses, all of them set in a nostalgic school gymnasium setting:
1) Flinging Fun
2) Brisk Bucking
3) Fan Frenzy
Each of them filled with different equipment, objects and challenges you might remember from your PE lessons back in the day. But they all share one goal: getting the ball into the basket by any means necessary.
During this project, I had the chance to experiment and explore different facets within Cinema4D. Playing around with many simulation tools, such as colliders, constraints, soft bodies, wind forces, etc. Figuring out materials and lighting in Octane, as well as modeling all of the nostalgic gym equipment.
