"Cui Jun Yu" (2022)
75 x 100 cm
Acrylic, modeling paste, and gel stone on canvas

It has been two years since I came to Korea, and I have divided the events that have happened to me into three words (Loss, Alone, and Relationship) to express the emotions and struggles I felt through pictures using elements of nature. I think the most important thing in art is to express your ideas in a way that the audience can recognize them. However, I do not want to have a negative impact on others and I always want to show a bright side, so I drew my drawings so that the audience would think that I was just painting the sea, rocks, and lightning without a story. After hearing the story, I wanted to let you know that there are many meanings and stories in this picture. I also wanted to convey my story and the message that people should not judge by appearances. People should not judge a person based on their outward appearance without knowing the circumstances of the person.
