Mamut Art Project
Mamut Art Project is the biggest art event and first fair dedicated to providing a dynamic platform for independent & emerging artists and to the concept for attainable art since 2013. Turkey’s unique art event is dedicated to provide a dynamic platform for undiscovered creative talent and engaging them with new and established collectors, galleries, curators and art lovers.
Mamut is a rent free platform, offering undiscovered artists the opportunity to professionally showcase their works in their own personal exhibition space. As well as providing curatorial guidance, PR support and network opportunities during the exhibition, Mamut Art Project is also proud to give professional advice on the careers of each participating artist after the exhibition.
How Does It Work
We accept applications from independent contemporary artists (without any restrictions of age, education, medium or theme) during a 2 months application period (in 2020, the number of applications was 1.500).
Next, a jury of 5, which each year consists of different leading names of the Turkish art world (a curator, an artist, a collector, an academic, an advisor/a gallerist), selects 50 artists. Each selected artist gets their own individual space, to exhibit their works throughout the event.
Mamut does not charge any rent, no hidden fees, only a minimal commission from the sale of their art works. Art lovers discover new artists each year and take their first steps into collecting art with our affordable art concept.
