I painted this woman from a live model during the drawing classes at the Academy of Fine Arts in Oudenaarde. I painted this woman in impressionistic style. I like the paintings of the Impressionists Monet, Manet, Van Gogh, all influenced by Japonism. I think Degas's portraits of bathing women are so beautifully done.
