Porsche Middle East & Africa commissioned Toast films to serve a crisp slice of adrenaline celebrating 20 years of Porsche Cayenne with six bespoke cars.

Over the three day shoot, Polish photographer Tomek Makolski pivoted his camera in harmony with the natural light and desert elements to create a unique and captivating look for the series. Shooting everything in one frame – no compositing or adding motion – gives immediacy and punch to the images, while cinematic lens filters contributed refined highlights and edges.

Uncompromising on dynamism, speed and a sense of adventure, Makolski’s images also accentuate the Cayenne’s custom 20th anniversary liveries. Created by Keko Dubai, each represents diverse local landscapes and cultural symbols, and were shot in locations spanning the Emirates: at Pink Rock, Wadi Shawka, and Rams Beach.

At Recom’s new Paris studio, Pepe Alram worked with Tomek to create a subtly striking palette for the series. Soft, muted hues counterpoint the harsh desert environment and explosive dust clouds blasted up by the tough rally Porsches. The diverse locations and liveries of the series are unified with a refined modern palette, a natural atmosphere of adventure and a powerful boost of energy.
