CIAO PAPA.
This piece was inspired by the amazing movie Pinocchio by the talented Guillermo del Toro. Alexandre Desplat was the score composer and he used just wooden instruments for creating his master pieces.

This is a personal fan art project in which I went through all the stages of the process by conceptualizing  the piece, building the miniature set, shooting video, photos, stop motion and postproduction. This makes me value even more the huge task that is involved behind  creating this movie.
The video was done with stop motion animation technique (frame by frame). For moving the camera I used a motorized slider connected to the camera.
Disclosure: Non guitar was harm in the process of creating this piece. I used and old and already broken guitar I had.
The piece has working lights which lights the scene and Pinocchio's heart.
A little bit of the process in creating "Ciao Papa". Inside different materials to create the elements. I mostly used real wood to create the work bench and other key elements. Pinocchio was 3D printed in resin and then custom for some of the joints to have movement for animation. For other small props I went with 3D modeling and printing, and then carving over them and painting.

For the photo production and stop motion I went with different lenses; from wide angle to macro lenses. And lighting with continuous and focus lights mixing them with the practical mini led lights of the piece.
