A series of pictures showing married Maharashtrian women wearing toe rings which are considered "Lakshmi ki Nishan", and "Suhag ki Nishani" and worn for the well-being of their husbands. In further conversations with these women, it was established that some of them find it difficult to wear shoes or do their everyday chores with them. Women all over India wear Sindhoor, Payal, Toe-ring, and Mangalsutra for their husbands but what do the men wear for their wife's well-being? Nothing. Because those are/have always been the rules and laws of our nation.
