WE ARE ONLY HUMAN

A project that explored what three traditional
printing methods are as a piece of graphic's

Lithography is based on the principle of water and oil
not mixing. The word used to go with the design for the
poster was repulsion, which is what the design represents.
The design was printed via the printing method ‘Lithography’
onto my own hand produced Japanese Kozo paper.
Printed via the method (Lithography) onto
handmade Japanese kozo paper.
Relief printing

Relief printing is achieved by inscribing into a surface and
printing from the remaining raised areas. The design was
inspired by this very fact.

The poster was produced via a laser cut piece of wood, which
was printed from two different PVA relief printing plates,
using a traditional printing press. It was again printed on
my own hand produced Japanese Kozo paper.

SCREEN PRINTING

Screen printing is achieved by pushing ink through a
mesh screen with a squeegee, using a downward motion
The final poster design was achieved from five screen printed
layers, that depicts the method itself. Again the final piece is
printed on my own hand produced Japanese Kozo paper.
I have had the honor and pleasure in featuring this project within
the Sandu Publishing poster book, titled "LOOK AT ME" released
in February 2015.
