Kampung Parit Kassim Laut, situated within Kampung Parit Jawa, Muar, Johor, was established in 1855 by an explorer Jabar Matinadjati, hailing from Kampung Malini Jati, Tanah Jawa, Indonesia. This village once thrived with vibrant Javanese culture and heritage. However, over time, the Javanese identity in Parit Jawa eroded, and the architectural elements of the houses and buildings lost their distinctiveness. The disappearance of Javanese elements in today's Parit Jawa may be linked to the mangrove trees that surround the area. In the past, the Javanese elements vanished, and in the future, it may well be the encompassing mangroves.

'Urip Maneh,' meaning 'revive' in the Javanese language, draws inspiration from the original identity of this location. The objective of Urip Maneh is to reintroduce and rekindle the Javanese heritage in Parit Kassim Laut, Parit Jawa, Muar.
