For this SAE we had three parts. The first one was about our communication plan for international : we made a review of the plan for international and an SEO analysis. The second was a design part : we made a complete visual identity for a new logo, a postcard and a poster. We also made a mock-up of the international page of the MMI website. And the third part was about videos that we created for our social medias, more precisely Instagram. We made 8 of them.
This logo is a representation of the international dimension of the MMI BUT. He use the main logo's shape (the crown), but with the shape of the line of air routes that surround the globe. With the aim of remind our target about the principle of journey. We meet the shape of continents in the circle that represents the logo. There is two versions of the logo : the first one (image 1) is the version with a black background and the second (image 2) is the version with a white background. It is forbidden to use the logo with a colored background.
Display
The poster and postcard are using the same graphic logic. First we have the logo that we prepared for the white background. Then, we have the title that use the OFFF festival's logo to signify clearly the promoted event with the graphics. After that, we indicate "Avec le BUT MMI de Montbéliard" (in English "With the MMI BUT of Montbéliard") to inform that people can assist to that event with the MMI BUT of Montbéliard. That can motivate people to join us or motivate some students already in MMI to go to Barcelona.
International mobility page
The design of this new international page is to go back over the actual page, to make the main design match with it. We’re reusing the same header and the same footer of the original website. The new logo is located in the center of the international page of MMI’s website, with the title of the page and a picture of one of the exchange schools in Canada. The first part presented is the part about internship with an explanatory text of internship abroad. We have an illustration picture and some video of students who speak about her stage abroad. The second part is about the semester in Canada : we have an explanatory text of the semester, an illustration picture of the semester, and a video of presentation of their semester, their experience, some anecdotes.. Finally, the third part is about the OFFF Festival with the same composition of the two precedent parts : an explanatory text, an illustration picture, a video of the journey and a video of presentation.
Video for Social Media
We made a portrait layout to broadcast it in social media like Instagram and Youtube (the short version). We will use it in the international page of the MMI’s website. It’s a short video. It is an interview of a student who went to the OFFF Festival and of a teacher who also went to the OFFF. Each of them will answer to the question asked at the start of the video, which is “In a few words convince a student to make this trip.”. Our goal is to share two different visions of the Festival to make the person who will see our tweet want to go.
This second video is made for the same media of the first one (Instagram, Youtube). The question asked here is “How would you describe the OFFF ?”. It’s with the same person. They will explain to us their visions, as a teacher and as a student. These two visions will allow the viewer to discover some sides of the festival that they wouldn't discover otherwise. They will discover some qualities and some faults of the festival. But they will especially discover that this festival is a good time. For a teacher, and for a student.
The third video is about a student who wants to do one semester in Canada. A little more questions are asked in comparison to the precedent videos. We asked him “Do you want to go to Canada ?”, “What do you expect from the trip ?” and “Do you think you will be selected ?”. This video will be only on Instagram. The goal is to show the point of view of a student who wish to go to Canada, and to see his motivations.
The fourth video is about the inscription of students in the semester in Canada. We asked the questions to the teacher who take charge of the semester in Canada : Lydia DUBOIS. Questions asked are “Have you had students give up applying ?”, “ How do you apply ? “ and “ In a few words, convince a student to make this trip ?”. The teacher presents to us how the selection is made, and she gives us her opinion about this experience and explain why it is very good for students to go.
The fifth video focuses on the festival OFFF of Barcelona. You will have the opinion of Lydia DUBOIS and a student about the presentations : which of these marked them ? That will allow you to discover what can be done at this festival, and to see why this festival is interesting for students and persons who study and work in numeric.
In this video we asked “Is the semester in Canada appreciated ?“  to a student that went to Canada for one semester and to the teacher who is in charge of the semester abroad. The fact that the two of them give positive opinions will give a positive opinion about the semester abroad and will maybe convince unsure students to try to go, and that will also maybe convince future students to join the MMI  department to go back to Canada.
The seventh video is devoted to differences between lessons in Canada (at Mattan precisely) and lessons in the MMI department of Montbéliard. For this, we interrogated a student that went to Canada. We asked him to give us his impression. And we made a comparison with the version of the teacher to see the difference. That allows the spectator to have two versions : one of the organization, and one of a student who directly went to Canada. It’s a good thing to better comprehend the semester abroad.
The height and last video concern the journey in Barcelona globally (so not only the OFFF). We asked precisely “What did you do in Barcelona ?”. A student will explain to us what he did at Barcelona. He shows us that students are free on this journey : they don’t have to attend conferences all the day, they can go to the city. Having him explain that this journey at Barcelona is also an opportunity to make memories with friends is a good way to make students more comfortable with this journey. Because they can be unsure if a journey is only about conferences.
Mock up
You can see here a mock-up in the shape that they will take when they will be put in Instagram. There is a short description to present the topic of the video with some hashtags to aim our main target like high school student and future students with #lycee (hight school), #post-bac (after baccalaureate), #orientation (orientation), #parcoursup (the french system to classify hight-school students and say if they can make studies and where). We also aim actual students in MMI : maybe they will be interested in a semester in Canada.
Here is an example of a post to make a presentation of the semester in Canada. Our objective is to promote this experience by using positives aspects like apprenticeship, teachers, and the incredible experience of the semester abroad. The description is simple and short, and the hashtag we choose to use are for us the best we can use to teach the main target of this post.
