In this project, I executed three concepts: typography, scenery and item board.

To introduce the overall project, I used a typography illustration with a vibe of fantastical fairy tale world. Based on serif font structure, the letters have their parts stylized in an Art Nouveau inspired manner. The key visual elements include the silhouettes of an old european city, surrounded with distinctive features such as cathedrals, palaces with towers and old buildings. As regards to the color palette, the contrast between glowing golden yellow and dark teal blue is used to emphasize the surreal ambience.

As for the scenery illustration, I utilized the concept of bird eye view, overlooking to the whole town at dusk, creating a melancholic yet poetic atmosphere. To create more visual interest, I stylized the clouds to be fairies, listening to the pied piper's playing his song.

I also aspired to include an item board illustration in this project. Not only can it assist the key visual development process, the piece can be used independently for merchandised goods, such as stickers or spot illustrations. Following the medieval theme, I chose the items that blend well with each other aesthetically, with a touch of decorative elements to enhance the visual interest.
