Two distinctly different ways of digitally removing people from photos, and yet I'm doing the same thing with both.
On the left, I was inspired by Rosanna Jones and Geloy Concepcion, allowing me to really play around with creating a burnt paper effect, overlaying an image using blending modes and hand-written typography. With the photo on the right, I was inspired by Nick Douillard's acrylic on found photo collection, where he paints over organic parts of people to make them disappear, leaving only their clothes. So I did that digitally on Photoshop; pain-stakingly cutting out my head, arms and legs just to replace the area with what was behind me in real life.
