The project is independently completed by myself.
Because of the long-term monotonous and repeated use of Pinyin to output text on electronic devices, people have gradually lost the ability to write Chinese characters. I split the basic strokes of Chinese characters and use them as a carrier for combined design, to reflecting that Chinese characters are gradually dissolved in the water and difficult to distinguish, further to warn people of the disappearance of Chinese characters.
The widespread phenomenon of forgetting Chinese characters has triggered me to think about the gradual disappearance of handwritten Chinese characters. With a history of more than 4000 years, Chinese characters are both a writing style and an artistic form.
However, in a short period of a few decades, it has been gradually replaced by electronic input. Most people prefer to type the characters by inputting monotonous PinYin,which makes us gradually forget the strokes of Chinese characters. In the design, I choose Chinese characters’strokes  as the basic elements,to design posters by disassembling the characters.
In the final presentation, the free combination of the split writing of strokes on a transparent PVC board, superimposes and intertwines in the water, presenting the disorderly characters in our memory. The gradual disappearance of strokes in the water  expresses the gradual disappearance of characters. The visual wallop strengthenes people's thinking about the disappearance of handwritten Chinese characters. It make them deeply feel the charm of handwritten Chinese characters, and realize the fact that handwritten Chinese characters need to be inherited.
