Mistling (E-artificial tears)

Mistling  (E-artificial tears)
personal work (In 2020)
-
Mistling is an electronic artificial tear. Although the number of patients with dry eye syndrome increases every year, general artificial tears have many disadvantages. Mistling was created to solve the fundamental problem of dry eye syndrome.
Background
-
Dry eye syndrome is an eye disease that can occur when you use your eyes a lot regardless of the season.
The number of dry eye patients is increasing every year.
Problem
-
To protect the tear film, a stable oil layer must be formed to prevent tear evaporation. If you feel dry, artificial tears are put in. Although it is possible to temporarily relieve dryness, If the moisture evaporates after 30 minutes, the symptoms may recur.
Solution
-
By using steam at an appropriate temperature to stabilize the oil layer around the tear film, Mistling suggests a fundamental
treatment method, not temporary symptom relief like artificial tears.
Motive I
-
The exterior of Mistling was designed to express pure water, and was designed with the motif of a minimalistic and metaphorical expression of a Japanese-style garden, 'Zen Garden'.
Motive II
-
Mistling was created by referring to the design of an electronic cigarette. In an e-cigarette, water heated by a heater goes to
the mouth through the tip, but mistling goes to the eye area through the outlet.
